The young couple converted the space in the first level of their home into a great area and bar for entertaining friends and family.

"Now that we have kids we can't go downtown every night," 31-year-old Rob says.

So now downtown comes to them - or at least their friends do. Rob's friends are over for poker night about every other week.

Knapp's Neighborhood Pub consists of a poker room, a poolroom and, of course, the bar.

While Rob and his friends take advantage of the great space, Heather is the one responsible for most of the decorating.

Besides filling the room with bar furnishings from Scarboro Heirlooms in Greenville, Heather has personalized the space with warm colors and family portraits.

She says the colors used in the room were inspired by one of the paintings hanging in the room.

But while Heather may be the decorator, Rob says he's the master of mixology.

"In another life, I was probably a bartender," he says.
