When Bryan Mitchell went apartment hunting a few months ago, certain criteria had to be met. Among them: a downtown location, tall ceilings and hardwood floors.
But the deciding factor?
"Good water pressure," he laughs, "That's always important."
And while shower strength was high on Mitchell's list of needed things, spaciousness wasn't as much of an issue for the 24-year-old economic developer.
His pad isn't exactly sprawling, but Mitchell lives alone and says there's plenty of room for friends to crash and most of his stuff to fit comfortably.
"It's big enough," he says.
Amidst the rooms you'll see souvenirs from his past and along the walls photographs from his many travels.
But Mitchell himself made some of the most interesting and unique pieces.
Of his handiwork he humbly credits "a little bit of my background in city planning."
"During the summers I had free time. I had the tools and I was preparing for moving out on my own," Mitchell says. "I just didn't really want to buy furniture."
