Ask Joey Bradley when he first realized he was an artist and he'll tell you there was no first time."It's just something I've known since I was born," he says.
A business major in college, it took a robbery at the bank where he worked six years ago to incite the decision to pursue his passion of art as a career.
"That's when I decided that I wanted to do what I loved to do, and that was art," he says.
Now, in addition to playing in a band and working part-time at his church, Bradley is a member of Artbomb, a non-profit consortium of 16 local artists whose headquarters is located in the West End.
And being an artist definitely came in handy when it was time to decorate the house he bought a year ago with his wife, Rachel.
"The house was insane when we bought it," he says, meaning it was totally in shambles.
Soon afterward they remodeled the kitchen, reinstalled the hardwoods and garnished the walls with Bradley's creations.
Inside you'll also find a few works from other artist friends, consignment shop gatherings and pieces that once belonged to Bradley's grandmother.
