Golf is a difficult game. Mark Twain called it "a good walk spoiled." This is especially true if your golfing buddy can hit straight and you spend your time zigzagging across the fairway chasing down your slices. You can practice without joining a fancy country club. There are many driving ranges in the Upstate where you don't have to worry about being a beginner. Not to mention, they're easy on the wallet. Westside Driving Range
