Stealth
I don't know about "Stealth" star Jessica Biel being named Esquire magazine's Sexiest Woman of the Year. I know going from good-girl show "7th Heaven" to taking sexy roles in movies such as "Stealth" makes her hot, but the title implies that 2005 has been the year of Biel. One would think Esquire would have recognized that "Stealth" bombed and that her other roles were miniscule. If Esquire was trying to be unpredictable, they should at least pick someone who wasn't upstaged by an electronic fighter plane. Lead movie reviewer Daniel Goldberg shows why "Stealth" was not too significant: "'Stealth' stretches beyond the borders of reason to engage every possible military conflict, effectively negating any intellectual questions about the nature of war. Consider that Wade's (Biel) plane is damaged in terrorist-supporting Tajikstan, on the western boarder of China. She flies all the way across China - not exactly Pickens County, people - so that she can crash in North Korea, a communist dictatorship. But hey, if that didn't happen, Biel wouldn't get to run across the Demilitarized Zone in a skimpy Navy-issue tank top, and Lucas wouldn't get to incinerate a bunch of commies." $29Skeleton Key
Kate Hudson stars in this supernatural thriller set in New Orleans. She plays Caroline, a young woman who goes to care for a dying man at a large plantation home where she finds some scary crap going on. It's the same old formula: girl moves to a new city, creepy things go on at her new home - this time it's got something to do with voodoo - and girl questions her sanity. $30
Madagascar
I always saw Ben Stiller as more of a monkey, but the Dreamworks animation crew thought that he would make a good lion. Either way, a neurotic animal is sure to get annoying. In "Madagascar" a group of animals escapes the New York Central Zoo to get a taste of the wild and realize that life at the zoo is much more cozy. $30
Ana's Pick: Happy Endings
Several characters' lives are interwoven as their stories blend to create a comedy about love, relationships and family. The characters are stuck in messy situations like Lisa Kudrow's Mamie, who is being blackmailed by a documentary filmmaker claiming to know the whereabouts of the son she gave up for adoption. Kind of leaves you wondering what type of ending the movie will really have. $28
